Trivers Continues Work on Missouri State Capitol Stone Restoration

Created on

An impressive domed structure sited on the bluffs of the Missouri River, the Missouri Capitol features extensive use of premiere local materials. Many of the interior features have been painstakingly maintained and remain a source of pride not only for state citizenry but in some instances, has been the recipient of national acclaim.

The exterior stonework, while equally as impressive, has succumbed to decades of weathering. Trivers Associates is currently working with the State of Missouri to evaluate existing building conditions from the base of the building to the top of the dome, terrace pavers and balustrades, and all components of the monument plaza.

Along with our consultants, the design team is thoughtfully evaluating existing conditions, providing details specific to various repair requirements, qualifying possible stone selections, and navigating a multi-year project schedule ensuring quality renovation on time and on budget. Consultants on the project include Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, McClure Engineering, Pillar Design Group, The Russell Group Ingenium, SSC Engineering and Randy Burkett Lighting Design.
