Carmen is an Project Architect who joined our team following completion of her Master of Architecture at Washington University-St. Louis in May 2020. While completing her degree, she was an active board member of the American Institute of Architects Students. She consulted on the reformation of the curriculum for the Alberti Program, a Washington University program to introduce elementary and middle schoolers to design and architecture, to an online learning format. In addition, she has participated in the Reimagine Town Hall with the Architecture League NY, a workshop for members of the class of 2020 to reimagine the role of architecture in light of the issues of coronavirus, climate change, and economic and social inequality. Carmen is a core-organizer for Design as Protest, a collective focused on equity in the built environment.
