St. Louis’ Historic Eliot School Will See New Life to Help Address Fentanyl Epidemic

Created on

Trivers is partnering with Jubilee Community Development Corporation to breathe new life into the historic 51,380 SF Eliot School in North St. Louis that has been abandoned since 2004. As the Jubilee Community Wellness Center, it will aim to address the fentanyl epidemic via a crisis clinic with out-patient and counseling services, an independently run on-site pharmacy and lab, community and welcome spaces, a commercial kitchen, and space for training and fellowship.

“My vision for this is that the building is that first light that starts to radiate out,” Trivers Principal Joel Fuoss, AIA LEED AP Fuoss told the Riverfront Times. “I think a project of this consequence, and this special component that it is, has that power…because you have this group of people here that are committed and invested.”
