Completed in 1904 as the operational headquarters for E.G. Lewis’ Women’s Magazine and in time for the World’s Fair, City Hall stands as an outstanding example of the Beaux Arts Ideal: integrating the allied arts of architecture, sculpture and painting. As a part of a complete modernization of the building, interior and exterior building elements were restored to their original splendor to celebrate the centennial of the founding of University City.
