Project Architect Amanda McAllister has been named an Associate of the firm. The Associates serve as an advisory group to the Principals and work together to implement strategic initiatives. Amanda has extensive experience in civic and adaptive/reuse design and recently became licensed. As a LEED Accredited Professional, she also serves as the Sustainability Coordinator for the office.

Architectural Designer Hallie Nolan was a panelist at the AIAS National Conference, “Thrive: A Career Prep Program”. The discussion entitled “How to Be Employee of the Month” covered strategy for recent grads to excel during their first year of employment. This year’s conference was held at Washington University in October.

Hallie also completed her FOCUS St. Louis Emerging Leaders program with a presentation on Community Engagement for RISE Community Development. Along with seven of her FOCUS classmates, she created and presented a step-by-step toolkit for Community Engagement with a focus on hard to reach populations.

Principal Amy Gilbertson presented “Accessibility Improvements to Historic Structures” at the Association for Preservation Technology International conference in Miami, Florida in November. Amy’s presentation explored the thoughtfulness and creativity necessary to preserve the historic fabric of a structure while making it accessible for all visitors.

Project Managers John Wilhelm, Emily Scanlon, and James Roseberry have all recently completed Illinois Capital Development Board Project Management training.
