Downtown St. Louis Projects

Trivers is honored to be working on a variety of projects that will enhance the business and residential environment of St. Louis.

Recently Complete

The renovation of the historic St. Louis Post Dispatch Building, now rebranded as 900 N. Tucker, was completed in August. Trivers worked with an extensive team as the Architect for the core and shell. Trivers scope included replacing historic windows, creating new window openings, adding a new primary building entrance in the North Addition, preserving the original Joseph Pulitzer office and boardroom, and removing floors and installing new skylights to create two new atriums with dramatic floating steel stairs. All modifications were done in compliance with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation, as the project received both State and Federal Historic Tax Credits. The completed project will be a catalyst for other development on the north side of downtown St Louis.

The Kiener Plaza Visitor Services Center was recently completed in September and serves as a visitor services building which also houses maintenance and storage needs as well as a security office. The project was a collaboration with Great Rivers Greenway and Gateway Arch Park Foundation. The north, west and east concrete walls will provide a canvas for showcasing a rotation of murals by local artists.

Under Construction

Doorways Housing + Administration is underway at their new campus located in the north St. Louis JeffVanderLou neighborhood. The interfaith non-profit provides housing and related support services to people affected by HIV/AIDS. The planned new campus will include 14,000 square feet of integrated program and administrative spaces, as well as 50 units of new transitional housing. Construction is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2022.

Renovations at 100 North Broadway should be completed later this year with improvements to the interior and exterior atrium structure and surrounding plazas. The former bank lobby will now include a first-floor café, state-of-the-art conferencing facilities, co-working space, and a fitness center.

In Design

Filling nearly an entire square city block in Downtown West, the Butler Brothers Building is set to be renovated into apartments with state-of-the-art amenities.

The full interior and exterior renovation of The Old Courthouse is set to begin in Spring 2022. The design solutions focus on preservation of as much historic material as possible while making these necessary improvements to the building. Scope includes careful insertion of the building’s first-ever elevator, full window replacement, complete replacement of the heating and cooling system, a new electrical service, the addition of a fire sprinkler system, complete renovation of exhibit galleries and new wayfinding and signage.
