The Skinker-DeBaliviere Neighborhood is a great historic neighborhood in the city of St. Louis with a proximity to major activities, social and demographic trends (the Loop and Central West End) and strong institutions (Washington University).

Beginning its growth and development in 1904 World’s Fair, Skinker DeBaliviere developed as a dense, diverse residential community. A stronger neighborhood community and prominent institutions in support, these are the main factors in ensuring the neighborhood’s stability. The history of the neighborhood, DeBaliviere Avenue and its people, activities, and architecture which corresponded to the street level.

Partnered with HOK, our intentions focus on restoring the characteristics of the neighborhood through activating the streets and spaces with the new Transit-Oriented Development and making it a part of the city’s significant development.

Included in the plans are 287 apartments and nearly 30,000 square feet of retail in two separate buildings.
