As the density increased in this ideally located neighborhood adjacent to Shaw Park and downtown Clayton, the challenge was to incorporate higher-end modern living needs without destroying the character of the mature neighborhood. Conceived as a large mass with a common core carved from the façade, the glass infill stretched from behind the copper cladded wall as the core rises within. This core feeds six separate condominiums and one penthouse unit nestled under the gable roof. By managing the scale of the mass, the building was able to maximize its density without diminishing its context.
