For the organization whose mission is solely helping those who need it, architecture must become a means to that end, responding to the needs of the organization and the people it serves. Whether a low-income senior apartment building, a care facility for those needing help reintegrating into society, or temporary housing for cancer patients receiving treatments, architecture can have - must have - dramatic, even life-changing impact on people's lives. It should become an extension of the organization within, facilitating their purpose, retaining hard-earned value, and touching lives.
